Samuel Inkoom remains confident that Ghana can be a force to be reckoned with when the continent hosts the World Cup for the first time in South Africa.
Ghana will be making a second successive appearance at the finals of the World Cup after reaching the round of 16 on their debut in Germany.
The FC Basel right-back has enjoyed a successful international career over the past 14 months after helping Ghana lift both the 2009 African Youth Championship and FIFA U-20 World Cup titles.
He was also part of the of the Black Stars side that ensured qualification to the 2010 World Cup and played a crucial role to lift an injury-hit squad all the way to the finals of the African Nations Cup where Ghana finished second.
The past successes have given the 20 year-old attacking full-back high hopes as he looks up to playing a part in the World Cup finals.
"I'm certain that we can go all the way in South Africa. We have the necessary quality and have a great chance of winning the World Cup. It's not going to be easy by any stretch, but we're in it to win it," an assured Inkoom said to Fifa.com
Despite holding high hopes over Ghana's chances, Inkoom is refusing to play down the strength of the Black Stars' group D opponents.
"We didn't get the kindest draw for the World Cup. I have a lot of respect for Germany. They have a good team with some great individual players, but I can promise you one thing: we'll be doing our absolute best to beat them."
