The management of Zain Ghana Limited on Tuesday held the first draw of its second edition of "Live Your Dream Promotion" in Accra.
About 100 numbers were drawn, with phone numbers 0266665993, 0266226001 and 0265929557 winning the first, second and third prizes respectively.
As part of the re-packaging of the promotion, the ultimate winner of the weekly draw has the opportunity to play a game, which will give him another opportunity of winning up to GH¢75,000.
Mr Tara Squire, Consumer Segment Manager of Zain Ghana told newsmen that the company's objective was to empower its customers to become passionate and creative.
"We want to encourage our customers to be radiant by leading the way in imagination and vision since we now have over one million subscribers within six months of operation in this country and we are marching towards our customer target for 2010," he said.
The 10-week-promotion would reward 600 fixed and cellular prepaid customers and empower them through the provision of funds to enable them to embark on their dream project.
On the additional component of the promotion, he said "The gameshow element is the latest twist to the promotion, which saw a thousand Zain customers win Zain products and over GH¢150,000 in cash prizes".
"This year, 100 winners would be drawn each week with 97 winning Zain products and the top three winners would be rewarded with cash," he added.
"The first prize winner of each draw would be given the chance to play a game in the comfort of their own home or work place, giving them a chance to win up to GH¢75,000. The second and third prize winners would win GH¢5,000 each while the other winners would be given 3G mobile phones and notebooks".
"The method of entering the draw remains the same; every top up of two Ghana cedis would qualify as an entry in 24 hours and usage of every 50 Ghana pesewas of airtime would also qualify as an entry, Mr Squire said.
Zain is a leading telecommunications operator across the Middle East and Africa providing mobile and data services to 64.7 million customers in about 24 countries.
