Tecno Mobile Ghana is putting the most affordable 4G-ready Phantom 5 smartphone on the Ghanaian market today.
Phantom 5, which is the current flagship smartphone from Tecno, compares favorably with the leading brands in the market in terms of technology, but comes at almost half the price of most of those brands.
The 5.5 inch full high definition (FHD) screen phones has a luxurious metal appearance, and comes with Android 5.1 operating system, MT6753 Octa-core processor, 32GB internal memory (ROM), 3GB operating memory (RAM), 13megapixel rare camera and 8 megapixel front camera (both with flash lights), and a 3000mAh battery.
Most handsets on the market have AMOLED screens, but Phantom 5's 5.5 inch screen is an FHD high-resolution retina screen, which allows a more vivid and natural view of images.
A write up on the handset indicates unlike many of the respected brands on the market, Phantom 5 has a second generation fingerprint identification feature, which allows the user private protection. It is configured to recognize the user's fingerprint 100,000 times without one error.
Both the rare and front cameras are desIgned with the PDAF technology, which makes the camera imitate the human eye algorithm, and therefore focuses faster than the cameras in other phones on the market.
"It is also equipped with Alternate low-dissipation central focusing motor,
which improves the focus speed on the spot," the write-up said, adding that the dual-LED flash lights allows the user to take nice pictures at night with either the front or rare camera.
The phone is designed to take an addition 128GB external memory card, while the best comparable handset on the market allows only up to 64GB additional memory.
Its internal memory is large enough to take about 8000 songs and the 3GB operating memory means it works much faster than other brands and offer greater user experience.
It boasts of a HI-BOOM Music supported by an Excellent CAPLESS Loudspeaker and a Dolby 3D Surround Sound, which gives the user a High Fidelity Sound Effect.
The performance of the phone is powered by the 3000mAh battery that also supports 75,000 continuous photo-taking, 6.5 hours of continuous video play and 16 days of standby time.
The phone also has an Ultra-Power saving mode feature which enables it to remain active for four hours even when the battery power is down to only 10%.
