Ghanaian youngster Dominic Adiyiah hopes he can win his third individual award after being named in the three-man shortlist for the 2009 Caf Young Player of the Year Award.
The 19-year-old faces competition from Erasmus Kermit of Feyenoord and a member of South Africa's U-20 team and Nigerian starlet Emmanuel Sani of Bodens BK.
The AC Milan forward was decorated with the Fifa Under-20 World Cup top scorer and Most Valuable Player Awards in Egypt last year.
He was also a member of Ghana's gold medal winning team of the 2009 Africa Youth Championship in Rwanda.
Adiyiah believes winning the continent's prestigious youth award will enhance his professional career.
"I feel great. I think this is going to be another event for me which is going to help me in my career," the excited forward said.
The winners of the 2009 Glo Caf Awards will be disclosed at a ceremony in Accra on 11 March.
