Super Eagles head coach, Sunday Oliseh says the major leagues across Europe are making it harder for Nigerians and African players to play in them.

Oliseh was speaking about the dearth of Nigerian talent across the major leagues and says things can change.

“Europeans are setting up all kinds of laws that keeps on limiting the possibility of African footballers to play.

“That a lot of our players don’t play in the big leagues across Europe is not necessarily because they are not good enough but because the laws are getting tighter and tighter.

“The best we can do for our players is to help them to excel at international level and the media must help us achieve this,” he said when responding to a question posed to him at a press conference.

He also stated that he’s surprised a lot of Nigerians are not aware he has earned his stripes in coaching.

“When you coach a clubside, you normally coach for about six weeks before the season starts but you don’t have as much time to coach the players in the national team.

“However, the advantage you have in the national team is that you have a larger pool of players to work with,” he said.
