The licensure exams for nursing students will be written next month.
The exams, which will provide the nursing graduates with licenses to operate, were originally scheduled for November last year.
However, some students from the University of Ghana disqualified by the Nurses and Midwifery Council sought a court injunction to suspend the exercise.
Following the intervention of the Health Minister, the Nurses and Midwifery Council has granted amnesty to the nursing students from Legon to take the exams.
President of the Health Students Association, Albert Evedzi, said he and his colleagues are still awaiting the issuance of their index numbers to them.
Until the release of the index numbers, however, they will be unable to life the court injunction placed on the exams.
“We’ll be waiting for the index numbers to be given; if the index numbers are given out then we can also go to court and lift the injunction," Mr Evedzi said.
