Over the years, many innocent lives have been lost to vehicle accidents on our roads due to unhealthy driving habits showcased by drivers.
It is in this light that Joy FM in association with National Road Safety Commission, DVLA, Quality Insurance Company, Toyota Ghana Ltd., Goldfields, Robin Hood Inn and Auto Chill came up with the Drive Safety campaign to sensitise and create awareness on road safety through on-air and on-field mechanics.
Amidst activities that marked the campaign, which commenced in mid-November and coiled through January, were on-air road safety tips from executive heads of the various sponsor companies and an interactive field work championed by the Events and Promotions department of Joy FM on January 13, 2010.
This was done by giving away road safety flyers and stickers to drivers on the Oxford Street of Osu in Accra.
