Ghana’s preparations for the African Nations Cup quarter-finals have been given a timely boost with Asamoah Gyan and Anthony Annan playing themselves into contention for selection against Angola.
The news will be warmly welcomed by Milovan Rajevac, who is desperate to have every player fit after a bad spell with injuries.
Ghana plays host nation; Angola at the November 11 Stadium in the quarter-finals of the competition on Sunday.
Both players took part in training on Thursday to signal what appears to be the end of a bad injury situation for Ghana with Michael Essien having left the camp to continue with his recuperation in London.
Annan has been sidelined for the past week with an injury which ruled him out of Ghana’s two Group B fixtures, but the midfielder has emerged from training on Thursday with no side-effects.
However, Gyan who has featured in both games for Ghana was taken off against Burkina Faso on Monday but also returned to full training session with his colleagues.
