The Ghana Football Association will not go ahead with the Onetouch Premier League outstanding match between Hearts of Oak and Tema Youth on Sunday.
A fan of Ashanti Gold, Opoku Adjei has filed a fresh suit restraining the FA from going ahead with the match.
Opoku Adjei has revived an earlier application in which he sought the High Court to compel the FA to declare the top four clubs on the league standings as at 30th November that qualified to represent Ghana in Africa.
But legal counsel for the FA, Thaddeus Sory says the suit will come to the same unproductive end as many similar others in the past couple of weeks.
The FA waded through a barrage of lawsuits by fans of a number of the Premier League clubs over the FA’s decision to reorganise an abandoned game between Tema Youth and Hearts, while others sued the FA for its refusal to register players applying to register late in the league.
Meanwhile Accra Hearts of Oak and Tema Youth could soon find themselves in yet another tussle, this time over former Asante Kotoko and King Faisal captain, Hamza Mohammed.
Hamza is reportedly a prime target for both teams as the second player registration window opens.
Tema Youth, who are beefing up their squad for the Confederation Cup next year, insists the player is theirs for the taking.
Hearts of Oak on the other hand want to seal a deal with the player they have coveted over the past two seasons.
Joy Sports however confirmed that Hamza has been training with Tema Youth, but it is likely both clubs will lose out on his signature as his agents are still in talks with English first division side, Leeds United over a probable transfer.
Failing the conclusion of a deal with Leeds, Hamza could also return to Australia where he played the first half of the season on loan with the New Zealand Knights.
