Free agent midfielder Sulley Muntari has been linked with a move to Turkish giants Besiktas.
The 30-year-old fell out of favour at AC Milan last season and was cut lose by the Rossoneri with a year left to his contract.
Muntari had joined the club on loan from city rivals Inter Milan in January 2012 with his performance earning him a permanent deal but the struggles of the past season led to a decision to leave him out of the plans for the 2015/16 season.
He has since his departure been linked with a host of clubs in England and the MLS but fresh reports from Sky Sports claim the Ghana international could be heading to Turkey with Besiktas, following an initial inquiry from the club.
Besiktas are in a squad bolstering mood having re-signed former winger Ricardo Quaresma from FC Porto and are expecting two more big name arrivals ahead of the new season.
They are set to tie up a deal with German striker Mario Gomez from Fiorentina with Muntari expected to be the other big name arrival.
Muntari scored twice in 16 league appearances for Milan last season.
