The three top officials of Kinapharma Pharmaceuticals Company Limited, who were arrested for allegedly possessing substances suspected to be narcotics, have been cleared after police investigators found no trace of narcotics in the substances.
The three managers of the company, including Managing Director Kofi Nsaih Poku, were arrested on Thursday for possessing the prohibited substance.
They were picked up by a combined police and Narcotics Control Board (NACOB) team.
Joy News sources said the whitish chemicals were sent to the Ghana Standards Board for further testing.
Superintendent Sylvester Bouyoh, who led Thursday’s operation, told Joy News that earlier tests conducted on the substance showed “there was little suspicion of [it] being cocaine.”
