The GFA will slap a US$10,000 fine each on Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari and Asamoah Gyan for absenting themselves for an international friendly against Angola last month, Ghanasoccernet understands.
The three Black Stars players refused to travel for an international friendly against Angola last month under controversial circumstances.
A source at the Ghana FA told Ghanasoccernet: "We have decided to fine the three players but what I can say is that it will be less than a winning bonus."
The money will donated to some of the charity institutions and good causes supported by the Ghana Football Association
Essien, Muntari and Asamoah Gyan went AWOL and faced severe criticisms back home with heightening calls for their axing from the team.
Essien and Gyan apologized to the GFA explaining their difficulties in playing in the said friendly and pleaded for clemency.
