Two school children in Abura Asebu Kwamankese in the Central Region are reported dead after a Nissan Pick-Up run over them, Monday.
The deceased and three others were returning from school when the driver of the pick–up run into them ostensibly due to brake failure.
The driver was said to have sped off immediately after the accident.
Asempa FM’s Isaac Otchem said the five children are between the 5 and 13 years of age.
The accident he noted has thrown the community into a state of grief and wailing. A grandparent of the two deceased pupils said the death is a big blow to the family.
Meanwhile, one of the children has been treated and discharged at the Abura Dunkwa government hospital with the others still on admission.
