One person reportedly died in a fire that gutted one of the production studios of Sunny FM, an Accra based radio station Thursday.
The deceased, named only as Emmanuel was an intern attached to the engineering department of the station.
The fire was believed to have started from an air-conditioner.
It is unclear why the deceased went into the studio at a time when the fire had intensified and when the building was being evacuated.
A freelance journalist with the station, Bernard Kwarpong recounting the incident to Joy News, said the family of the deceased had been notified.
He explained that the Emmanuel apparently went into the studio to salvage the situation but unfortunately got trapped.
Kwarpong said the deceased was later pulled out but could not tell if he was already dead or he died at the Ridge Hospital where he was rushed to.
