Welcome to the new series from the team at 99.7FM, tracking the latest moves in the window. We call it the #JoySports Transfer Daily. Here, we summarize all the moves and rumours in a quick, easy to read format.
The series begins today and ends on August 31.
When does the transfer window open?
The Premier League season wrapped up on May 24 and there has been a slew of confirmed transfers since - including James Milner and Danny Ings to Liverpool and Memphis Depay's move to Manchester United. But the window did not officially open until 12am on Wednesday 1 July 2015.
Is that the same across Europe?
No it is not. The transfer window dates for the major European leagues have yet to be finalised, but France, Germany, Spain and Italy's tends to open at the beginning of June rather than July. This means players from those leagues can agree moves into England, but transfers will not be ratified until July 1. The Dutch summer transfer window tends to open in the second week of June.
And so, today's stories...
Nani is off to Fenerbahçe
The Manchester United winger Nani has agreed personal terms with Fenerbahce and is expected to complete a move to Turkey in the next week. The two clubs are still discussing the fee with United holding out for more than the €5m (£3.5m) offered by Fenerbahce, who finished second in the league last season.
Liverpool get Clyne
The Reds have confirmed the signing of defender Nathaniel Clyne from Southampton. The 24-year-old full back, who has five England caps to his name, has signed a long-term contract at Anfield to become the sixth new player to arrive at the club already this summer.
...and could get Benteke too
Christian Benteke could complete his move to Liverpool in the coming days, according to TalkSport. Popular British radio journalist Graham Beecroft said: "I expect him to sign if not today then certainly in the not too distant future. Liverpool have done their work and have sealed a deal." It is expected that Liverpool would have to pay all of the forward's £32.5 million buyout clause. Benteke would join James Milner, Danny Ings, Adam Bogdan, Nathaniel Clyne and Roberto Firminio amongst Brendan Rodgers' new recruits.
Turan to announce his new club on Friday
Atletico Madrid's Turkish midfielder Arda Turan (above), is reportedly a target of Chelsea and Manchester United. The player has admitted that he is looking for a new challenge, but will announce which team he will join on Friday.
Falcao nearing Chelsea deal
Chelsea are expected to confirm the loan signing of 29-year-old Monaco striker Radamel Falcao later this week, having already agreed personal terms and a reported salary of £130,000-a-week. Falcao has had a disappointing Copa America with his national team and is yet to rediscover his best form.
Inter sign Miranda
The Italians have officially completed the signing of defender Joao Miranda from Atletico Madrid. The Brazilian centre-back was in Milan yesterday to complete his medical, and the Nerazzurri's capture of the 30-year-old is a strong signal of intent. Miranda has won seven trophies at club level, including the 2013/14 Spanish league title. Inter, who won a treble of European Cup and Italian league and Cup in 2009-10, are looking to rebuild under coach Roberto Mancini after failing to qualify for continental competition last season.
Stoke & Everton fight for £12m Shaqiri
Stoke City are ready to go head-to-head with Everton in an ambitious attempt to try to sign Inter Milan star Xherdan Shaqiri. Both clubs have been shown an interest in the 23-year-old winger following his modest first six months in Italy.
Bayern get Costa
The Bavarians have completed the signing of Brazil midfielder Douglas Costa from Shakhtar Donetsk on a five-year contract. The deal was worth 30 million euros.
Man Utd bid £28.6m for Ramos
Manchester United have made a bid of £28.6m for Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos, according to Sky sources. According to the English site, Ramos has told Madrid that he wants to leave the club and join Louis van Gaal's project.
In other news, Southampton have terminated the contract of striker Dani Osvaldo and Porto has signed Marseille midfielder Giannelli Imbula. Swansea also confirmed the capture of Portugal striker Eder.
Gundogan does a U-turn
German international Ilkay Gundogan insisted in April he would not be renewing his contract that runs out in 2016 and was said to be in talks with a number of clubs for an immediate transfer. However, the 24-year-old has performed a dramatic turnaround to commit to Die Borussen until 2017.
Pogba to keep tabs on Barca
Juventus star, Paul Pogba may only decide on his future once he knows the outcome of the Barcelona presidential race. It’s believed that Barcelona aren’t the only club interested in him, as Manchester City have also expressed interest.
