The programme is expected to expand in 2011 and will recruit close to 51,000 youth in the country. He gave the assurance that government has made thorough provision for prompt payment of salaries to the youth. According to him, his outfit has concluded comprehensive discussions with the Ministry of Local Government to allot to the programme part of the common fund as well as the natural resource and environmental governance for funding arrangements. He said the programme will be “enjoyable” one as implementers agree to combine work with fun. It is going to an enjoyable programme because its not going to simply work all the times. We are going to structure it in such a way that while working there will be songs time for jokes,” He also underscored the sustainability of the programme saying it will last a life time.
