Kingston says Stars remain disciplined

Richard Kingston says the Black Stars will emerge from the tough group at CAN 2010 and go on to have a fine tournament in Angola. The goalkeeper will be Ghana's number one at his fifth Nations Cup and is unfazed by the presence of Ivory Coast, Togo and Benin in Group B. “I think from the way we have played in recent years, we should be good to face any team,” he said. “We have enough quality to emerge from the group and if we work hard win the tournament.” Kingston who is also one of the most experienced players in the Stars also says the issue of Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari and Asamoah Gyan should not lead to conclusions that the Black Stars is an in disciplined bunch. “Those guys have been with us for a very long time and this is the first incidence so we have to go easy. It is not correct to say because of this there is a breakdown in discipline in the group.” Kingston will play a key role for Ghana in Angola where the Black Stars will begin their campaign against Togo on January 11, 2010 before playing Ivory Coast four days later. They will then travel to Luanda for a date against Burkina Faso on January 19. Source: Kickoff.com
