The state vehicle in which the Speaker of Parliament Joyce Bamfo-Addo was travelling to the Parliament was involved in an accident on Tuesday morning.
The vehicle of the Speaker which is reported to have been part of a convoy was hit by another vehicle.
Director of Public Affairs in Parliament Jones Kugblenu said although Mrs Addo’s car suffered a dent, she did not sustain any injury.
She was initially "traumatised", Mr Kugblenu maintained but has since reported to work to conduct business in Parliament House.
Mr Kugblenu however said although the impact was not fatal, Mrs Addo must be examined by a doctor.
Meanwhile Joy News' Parliamentary correspondent Sammy Darko said the news of the speaker's accident has not come up for discussion on the floor of the House.
The MP for New Edubiase whose car was said to have bumped into that of the speaker's is also said to be unscathed.
