Black Meteors coach Malik Jabir has challenged his opposite Congolese number to prove his allegations against Ghana or keep mute.

After his team's 1-0 defeat to the Black Meteors in a 2016 Olympic qualifier last Saturday, Claude Le Roy alleged that from 2008, he had coached some of the Ghanaian players who had featured on the day. And, according to him, those players did not meet the competition requirement of being under 23 years.

“I don’t think he has any basis. The only thing he can dwell on is when he could remember he called Ebo Andoh [the player in question] to the local Black Stars [team],” he told Joy Sports.

Checks show that per Ebo Andoh's current passport, Le Roy's claim that the player is over 23 years is invalid, since his age in 2009 (when the Frenchman called him up during his tenure as Ghana boss) was 15 years, 3 months and 11 days.

Jabir reasons: “[Le Roy] felt maybe from then until now [Andoh's] age would have passed the 23 year mark required to be in the Black Meteors but he is making a mistake. Nobody should take him seriously."

“Why didn’t he protest? Because he wasn’t sure. I think he was just trying to be loud.”

Meanwhile, a Black Stars Management Committee member has chided the 67-year old Congo boss for the allegations.

"Le Roy's comments are baseless. Per his own comments, six of his Congolese players used their real age. So we have to ask: what about the other five players who played in the game, what about the three substitutes?

"Le Roy should just admit he lost to a better team."
