The District Security Committee (DISEC) of the Bosomtwe District Assembly has ordered all land guards out of the area in their own interest.
Additionally people who have acquired parcels of land at Abuontem, a fast developing community, are to stop any further development of the said lands until further notice.
This was contained in a statement signed by the District Chief Executive, Mr Edward Nti Berko.
The directive, he said, has become necessary to deal with the rising threats to life and property as a result of the activities of guards hired by people engaged in disputes over land.
The release pleaded for understanding and co-operation of the people to ensure peace.
