Dr. Benjamin Kumbuor, the deputy Minister of Health, has been nominated for the consideration of parliament as the Minister of Health.
He replaces the substantive Minister, George Sipa-Yankey, who resigned over the weekend in the wake of the Mabey and Johnson bribery scandal.
A statement issued by Mr. Koku Anyidoho, Head of Communications at the presidency, said President John Evans Atta Mills has also forwarded to Parliament for consideration, the nominations of Mr. Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo as Minister of State at the Presidency and Dr. Nii Oakley Nii Quaye-Kumah as Deputy Minister of Health.
