Local representative of South African brick maker, Hydraform, is inviting government to join it in a job creation scheme it says could employ thousands.
The Hydraform technology employs local materials to produce highly durable interlocking bricks used in the construction industry.
Francis Poku of Afrisant, which is the local representative of Hydraform, says there are numerous advantages the product has over the traditional blocks which makes it the appropriate technology for building affordable but high quality houses.
He says giving young people the skill would empower them for life and place them in a position to develop their communities.
The global Hydraform team has made possible the construction of houses, schools, universities, community projects, factories, mosques and churches by NGOs, United Nations Aid (UNAID) agencies, property developers, businesspeople and entrepreneurs across the world.
