Derek Boateng has been handed another opportunity to make a case for a Black Stars place with a call up for Ghana's world cup qualifier against Benin on October 10th 2008.
The Black Stars will make the trip to Cotonou already assured of their place in next summer's World Cup, but Milovan Rajevac is calling up all his big guns for the game.
Key players John Mensah, Michael Essien and Suley Muntari will all travel to Accra early next week for preparations before the short trip across the border to Cotonou.
And Boateng, currently on the books of Getafe, will join them after receiving his official invitation from the Ghana Football Association.
He was a late call-up for the game against Sudan but got no playing time before he was withdrawn by his Spanish club for the friendly against Japan three days later.
The Benin game is therefore crucial in his bid to make a last ditch effort for a place at the World Cup party in the same manner that he did ahead of the 2006 World Cup.
