The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has officially commenced business at its new offices at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, Accra. The office, which was allocated to the association by the National Sports Council (NSC), is located at the former Stadium Clinic. A statement issued by Acting General Secretary of SWAG, William Dodzi Ezah, said the office is to facilitate the administrative work of the association. The statement said the office will also ensure smooth and effective communication between the association and its members throughout the country. It said the association has also hired the services of office assistants to handle its day to day administrative duties and urged the members to visit the office to pay their dues and other financial commitments as well as any form of administrative assistance. The statement also called on sports journalists interested in joining the Association to contact the office for the necessary procedure whilst members of the public can also contact the office for any other business transactions. The statement directed that all forms of communication to the Association should go through the following contacts; P.O. Box 21236, Accra, Tel - 021-930121 and e-mail- swagghana@yahoo.com. It thanked the Chief Executive Officer of the National Sports Council, Mr Worlanyo Agra and his staff for their assistance towards ensuring that members of the Association have a conducive edifice to transact their normal business.
