Water supply has been restored at the Maamobi Polyclinic in Accra after a 15-year interruption.
Managers of the Ghana Water Company (GWC), Aqua Vitens Rand, say the problem was resolved after the reconnection of booster pumps at the clinic.
A special exercise conducted by the company led to the retrieval of about 30 booster pumps from residents in the area.
Communications manager of the Accra Metropolitan Area manager of Aqua Vitens Rand, Nana Yaw Barimah Barnie, says the company would continue to clamp down on persons who would try to divert water illegally.
Hospital officials tell Joy News they are relieved by the restoration of water supply.
Head of the Maamobi Polyclinic maternity unit Dr. Kennedy Brightson said the hospital would go by the company’s advice to them to secure more water storage facilities.
