Mr John Baidoo, Adansi North District Chairman of Civil Servants Association has appealed to the Controller and Accountant General's Department (CAGD) to release pay slips for workers regularly and on time to enable them know their exact salary levels.
He said workers had to study their pay slips to detect anomalies or distortions before they collect their salaries at the banks.
Mr Baidoo who made the appeal in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Fomena-Ashanti at the weekend, noted that the present situation where pay slips were delayed for some months before being released were not in the interest of workers.
He said the current state was frustrating and appealed to the CAGD to rectify the situation and urged workers to exercise restraint on the issue.
Mr Baidoo urged workers to register with the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) to ensure better health care delivery.
He advised workers to be punctual at work and ensure government policies and programmes were implemented successfully.
Mr Baidoo called for unity among members of the association while they take active part in its activities.
