The Managing Director of SIC Insurance Ben Acolaste has been elected as the president of the Ghana Insurance Association for a two year term.
The former Vice President of the association was elected unopposed at a meeting yesterday.
The Executive Director of Enterprise Insurance, Mr C.C. Bruce Jnr, was also elected the Chairman of the Life Insurance Council.
He automatically becomes the Vice President of the association representing the interest of life businesses.
Mr. Acolaste takes over from the former MD of Vanguard Assurance Emmanuel Baba. The new president told Joy Business he brings a lot to the position because of his rich experience in the industry.
For over 28 years, Mr Acolaste, has worked with four different companies. “I’m well-equipped to handle different challenges,” he said.
