The Founder of Kumasi King Faisal FC, Alhaji Karim Grusah, has declared the Club’s determination to win this year’s MTN/GHALCA Top Four tournament.
In an interview with the GNA Sports in Kumasi, he said his conviction follows the Club’s impressive performance against city rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko in their opening match which ended 2-1 in their favour.
Alhaji Grusah said his Club had prepared adequately during the off-season and that the strict training regimen that the players went through is paying dividend.
“Faisal is going to sustain the momentum in subsequent matches in the tournament”, he said.
He stated, however, that the Club would use the Top Four tourney to identify its strengths and weaknesses and use it as a platform to prepare for this year’s CAF Confederations Cup and the National Premier League.
Alhaji Grusah singled out for commendation, newly signed-on Coach Isaac Boateng, describing him as a “genius”, who has the potential to improve on the Club’s fortunes.
He said management has resolved to give the coach the necessary support to enable him steer the Club to achieve their goals.
