A swimming expedition turned tragic when Maxwell Nudanu, 15, drowned in the Wli Waterfall in the Hohoe District on Wednesday.
Briefing the Ghana News Agency at Hohoe, Mr Kwabena Antwi-Boasiako, Hohoe Police Commander said Nudanu defied his father's order not to visit the waterfall with his friends.
He said two expatriate visitors to the waterfall recovered the deceased's body.
Meanwhile the body of Nudanu has been deposited at the Hohoe District Hospital awaiting autopsy.
