Matthew Amoah’s fine start to the season has been interrupted by a hamstring injury that will rule him out for two weeks.
The NAC Breda striker, who has hit four goals so far this season, has joined his Ghana colleagues in London, but says he is unable to take part in the international friendly against Zambia after damaging his hamstring in the Dutch league.
Amoah says he is likely to miss his side’s next League assignment, but is hopeful he will be available for their Europa League final qualifying round first leg match against Villarreal in Breda.
Amoah is Ghana's joint top scorer in the World Cup qualifiers with four goals.
