Rajevac looks for great balance

Milovan Rajevac says he will be looking for great balance from the Black Stars in their international friendly against Zambia as he attempts to blend the side’s young players with established ones. Rajevac has called up a strong side of established internationals and upstarts for that game at Brisbane Road in London on Wednesday and says he will be looking for the team to keep up their recent good form. The likes of Stephen Appiah, Sulley Muntari and Laryea Kingston were all absent when the Stars took a stronghold of their 2010 World Cup qualifying group with two vital wins in June. And in their absence youngsters Kwadwo Asamoah and Opoku Agyemang turned in performances that many observers say gives Rajevac options beyond key members of the 2006 World Cup squad. Rajevac is clearly looking for ways of ensuring that the old and new fuse into a much stronger Black Stars. “As you know players like Stephen Appiah and Sulley Muntari missed the previous matches against Mali and Sudan and in their absence Kwadwo Asamoah, and Opoku Agyemang excelled,” Rajevac told Ghanasoccernet. “Now we must use the match against Zambia to blend some of these young players with the established one so that we can find a great balance. “In doing this we are building a stronger Black Stars, ensuring that we don’t lose the winning mentality which is crucial in the team's stability.
