Parliament and family of the late MP for Chereponi, Doris Asibi Seidu has called on President Mills to formally announce the death of the MP.
The delegation to the Castle was led by the Majority Leader Hon. Algban Bagbin who paid glowing tribute to the late MP for the work she has done for his constituents Chereponi, Parliament and Ghana as a whole.
The family informed the President that the late MP will be buried in Chereponi in the Northern Region on Monday, August 10, 2009.
A statement from the Castle said the President expressed his deepest condolences to the family of the late MP, her constituents and the Minority in Parliament.
The President said that the state appreciates the work of the late MP and her ability to bring people together and ensure peace in her constituency, and assured the family that the government will be fully represented at the funeral and support the family with any assistance that they will require.
Other members of the delegation included Foreign Minister Mohammed Mumuni, Eugenia Kusi; Ambrose Deri, Deputy Minority leader; MP Ben Aryee, MP John Badoro and other former members of Parliament.
