The Nkwanta District Police have arrested a runaway suspect in connection with the murder of Nana Akola Basinani, 70, Amankrado of the Nawuris at Kitari near Bizongo in the Nkwanta District.
The Nkwanta District Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mr Sekyere Bruku said the suspect, whose name is being withheld was helping in investigations.
DSP Bruku said Nana Basinani was shot in his room on the night of December 9, last year in the presence of his wife.
He said an assailant forced the door to Nana Basinani's room open, flashed a torchlight in his face before shooting him in the ribs.
