But within three minutes, Bechem star man Noah Martey had leveled through a penalty kick.Further goals came from Kotoko's Ahmed Toure after 24 minutes and in the second half Michael Akuffo curled a freekick to get all three points.
Before the game, the last time Kotoko managed a win on was matchday 4 and the Reds have gone six games without a win.
Elsewhere, Hearts got a win for themselves while Chelsea accounted for Lions and Medeama soundly beat Edubiase.
