Some of Ghana's big guns will get their European season underway early on Thursday with Europa League action.
John Paintsil, Samuel Yeboah, Issah Ahmed, David Addy, Matthew Amoah and Frederick Adiyah are all likely to be involved on Thursday as Europe's second tier club football event reaches the third round qualifying stage.
While Paintsil has previous European Champions League experience, european action is something of unchartered territory who are making their bow this season.
The biggest game involving Ghanaian players in the Europa League will be in Denmark where Randers FC take on German side Hamburg.
Randers have been through two qualifying rounds already but Ghanaian left back David Addy who is hoping to get the nod at left back believes they Hamburg could be their biggest challengers.
He could be joined in defence by Issah Ahmed who has been a regular at center half for Randers so far.
Elsewhere Matthew Amoah, who scored twice to get NAC Breda to the third qualifying stage will be hoping for a similar run of form over two legs against Polonia Warszawa.
Sam Yeboah will expect to be part of the action in Hapoel Tel Aviv's away match to Gothenburg in Sweden.
