The Abudu Royal gate of Dagbon has slammed the Andani gate's visit to the Castle on Wednesday saying the visit was misguided.
Speaking on Citi News on Thursday, Alhaji Rashid Bawah secretary to the Abudus said the Andanis took a unilateral decision to call on president Mills at the Castle.
For him, in the interest of peace, the two gates ought to have planned the visit together instead of the Andanis going alone.
He said the Dgbon Council of Chiefs is not made up of only Andanis.
Alhaji Bawah rejected suggestions there was consensus because an elder of the Abudu gate was part of the delegation that paid the courtesy call on the president. “You cannot just call a Paramount Chief to just get up and go to Accra without any meeting or consultation” He stated.
But the leader of the Andani family, Naa Mohammed Baba Bawah who is also a Member of the Council of State refuted the accusations stressing everybody was invited. He cited a leader of the Abudu family who was also at the meeting with the President.
Naa Bawah said the Andanis met with the Abudus prior to their meeting with the president.
