Rennes are confident that Ghana's Asamoah Gyan would enjoy a successful campaign this term after passing him fit to join in their pre-season plans.
The medical team of French Ligue One side handed the 23-year-old Ghanaian the all clear after he missed a greater part of last season through injury.
"During his vacation he had a program of diet and lifestyle to follow, and it was accompanied by the club doctor, who ran with him on the beach," Rennes Physical trainer Nicolas Dyon said in an interview.
Gyan has remained focused on the up-coming Ligue 1 season despite reports having linked him to the English Premiership.
