A six point deduction has landed Tema Youth in relegation with just a match left to close the Glo Premier League.
Tema Youth was found guilty by the Player Statute Committee of the Ghana Football Association for registering and fielding an unqualified player in the person of Emmanuel Clottey.
Clottey featured in matches against Berekum Arsenals and Sekondi Eleven Wise and have thus been awarded three points each by the committee.
The Tema based side illegally registered the player on his return from an abortive trip in Europe.
Division one side Great Olympics has economic rights over the player and should have been consulted before his registration.
Tema Youth now have 33 points from its original 39 and join St Mirren for relegation, taking a shine out of what would have been an intriguing dog-fight away from relegation on the final day in the Glo Premier league.
