Chairman of the MTN FA Cup, Wilson Arthur, has confirmed the Tarkwa TNA Stadium will host the semifinals of the competition.
The quarterfinals of the domestic cup competition took place over the weekend bringing an exciting atmosphere in Kumasi on Saturday and Sunday.
The decision was part of the committee’s agenda to bring the game closer to the fans.
At the end of the games, Asante Kotoko, Berekum Chelsea, Golden Kick and Attram de Visser picked up slots for the final four.
Speaking on plans for the next stage, Arthur revealed plans to host the semis in Tarkwa.
“It’s a good thing to create a mini-festival out of quarterfinals, semifinals and the final,” he told 3Sports.
“It means that we will have to do a lot more of work and we don’t have to play games on a Saturday.
“We are having the semifinals at Tarkwa TNA Park.”
The semis are expected to be played in two weeks time.
