The wife of former National Signals Bureau (NSB) Director-General Angela Adjei Boateng is facing fresh allegations of evidence tampering in the ongoing corruption case against her and her husband.
At the Human Rights Court on Friday, March 28, where the couple had filed a suit against their bail conditions, the Deputy Attorney General Justice Srem Sai told the Court that Angela Adjei Boateng attempted to destroy evidence by carting currency bills into suitcases on the night she was notified of her husband's arrest.
Subsequently, the Accra Human Rights Court amended her bail conditions but maintained the amount at GH₵80 million with two sureties. She is required to report to authorities three times a week for the next three weeks.
The court has restricted the couple's movements, but they can only travel upon the express permission of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).
Meanwhile, her husband’s bail condition was revised from GH₵20 million to GH₵80 million, with one of his two sureties required to be justified.

The Attorney General’s office has accused the couple of diverting $7 million meant for a cyber defense system into personal accounts.
