A delegation from the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST), representing the Managing Director, Mr Afetsi Awoonor, has presented essential food items and cash to the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, to aid the Muslim community during the holy month of Ramadan.
The items included bags of rice, sugar, tins of Ideal milk, cartons of Lipton tea, tomato paste, gallons of cooking oil, and Milo.
The contribution aims to assist the Chief Imam’s office in providing for the less privileged during the fasting period.
Receiving the donation at his residence in Accra, Sheikh Sharubutu expressed deep gratitude for BOST’s generosity.
He offered prayers for the company’s leadership and employees, asking for divine blessings and continued success.
“This act of kindness will go a long way in supporting many people in need during Ramadan,” a representative of the Chief Imam’s office said.
BOST’s gesture aligns with its corporate social responsibility commitments, emphasising community support and religious harmony.
The company has consistently contributed to various social activities reinforcing its role beyond the energy sector.
Ramadan is a time of reflection, compassion, and generosity. Officials at BOST noted that the initiative demonstrates the spirit of unity in Ghana’s diverse society.
