Asante Kotoko were held to a disappointing draw in their Ghana Premier League midweek game against Young Apostles.
The two teams played out a goalless stalemate in Wenchi as the Porcupine Warriors dropped two valuable points on the road.
Prosper Narteh Ogum's side were looking to continue their lead at the top of the league table despite their draw last weekend against Samartex.
However, they were dealt another blow as they were limited in their goal-scoring abilities, picking up their second consecutive draw since the league's resumption.
Both teams had opportunities to break the deadlock in the opening minutes of the game, but were unable to take their chances. The home side looked the more threatening side, but even they found no way of breaching the Kotoko defence.
The second half proved no different as they were loads of end-to-end stuff from both teams.
The game ended 0-0 with each side taking a point.
The result means Kotoko (39) drop to second after Bibiani GoldStars won their fixture against Basake Holy Stars.
Kotoko are back in action over the weekend when they face Holy Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium, while Young Apostles travel to Tuba to face Dreams FC.
