Ghana and Bayern Munich legend Samuel Osei Kuffour admits he feels deep regret for not being able to win the Africa Cup of Nations with Ghana.
Kuffour played in five AFCON tournaments, making 54 appearances for the Black Stars and scoring six goals.
However, missing out on the continental trophy remains his biggest disappointment.
“I never had the chance to win the AFCON and it kills me everyday,” he said in an interview with Sporty FM.
"How many great players have won that title? Is a very difficult tournament to play because we know each other. The strength is good, the technique is good, the understanding of the game is always the same.”
He burst into the international scene at 13 years, winning the 1991 FIFA U-17 world championship.
Three years later he made his first debut for the Black Stars at 17 years old against Sierra Leone.
Kuffour had an illustrious football career, winning several trophies particularly the UEFA Champions League with German giants, Bayern Munich.
