Organised at Le Cercle de l'union interallièe in France, the third edition of the annual Women of Valour has been successfully held.
It was a moment that will stay with attendees from all walks of life.
The event was hosted by Ghanaian television presenter Natalie Forte and Astrid Pilpe from France.
The Chief Executive Officer of Women of Valour opened her speech speaking French fluently until she switched to English, as she introduced the ambassadors of the programme to the audience.
The first to speaker was CEO of hair brand 'Oh My Hair', Co- founder of Office & Co by Serwaa Amihere and the Serwaa Amihere Foundation. She spoke about having a child at the age of 22 and how she had to juggle life through pain and finding her feet through the process of learning how to make hair pieces and becoming who she is today.
There was a coffee break after her speech where everyone in the auditorium to network and also take a little break to chit chat with each other. Others also had the opportunity to ask some questions they couldnt ask the speakers during the break.
Tucci was our third speaking and she spoke about her working days in Guinnea during the era of the Ebola outbreak and how she was able to work through it all in the midst of challenges but today shared lessons during the time. Tucci is currently the CEO of the Ghana commodity exchange.
Chidinmma was the last speaker for the night and she got a standing ovation from the audience after sharing her story of her journey into the Miss Universe beauty pagent from issues in South African and moving to Nigeria to participate in the pageant and went all the way to represent Nigeria in the Miss Universe Global and made to the 1st Runner Up position.
Other speakers on the night included Sika Gokah, an etiquette coach, Anna Sherbinina and the Guest of honour Samia Badat Karam, Paris Councilor and First deputy Mayor of the 16th Arrondessement of Paris.
Women of Valour, an annual event aimed at recognising and highlighting women with unique stories of courage.
Founded by media personality Nana Aba Anamoah. It is held at a time when the world marks the annual International Women’s Day.
