Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has established a special committee to investigate the chaos that erupted in Parliament during the vetting of ministerial nominees on Thursday, January 30.
The seven-committee will be chaired by Ho West MP, Emmanuel Bedzrah, and is tasked with identifying those responsible for the disruptions and recommending appropriate actions.
Below are the rest of the committee members:

- Hon Gizella Akushika Tetteh- Agbotui (Mrs)
- Hon Abena Osei Asare (Mrs)
- Hon Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings (Dr)
- Hon Vincent Oppong Asamoah and
- Hon Bede Anwataazuma Ziedeng.
Addressing the House, the Speaker stressed that no public funds would be used to repair any items damaged during the altercations. Instead, he warned that any MPs found guilty would be surcharged for the cost of repairs.

In addition, Speaker Bagbin has suspended four lawmakers for two weeks as part of immediate disciplinary measures.
The affected MPs include Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor of the NDC, Frank Annoh-Dompreh of the NPP, as well as Alhassan Sulemana Tampuli and Jerry Ahmed Shaibu.
The suspensions are intended to restore order and maintain decorum within Parliament.
The special committee is expected to submit its findings and recommendations to the Speaker in the coming weeks.
