Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council, Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer, says the Black Stars' failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON)
is a reflection of the association's decline.
According to him, neither the players nor the management staff have been able to turn the situation around which is worrying for Ghana.
The Black Stars finished bottom of their qualification group which also had Angola, Sudan and Niger. Otto Addo's side failed to win any of the six games they played.
"Black Stars failure to qualify for the AFCON is a degeneration of the FA as a structure or a system," Palmer said in an interview with Joy Sports.
"If you look at the performances of the players as well as the management, you realise that a whole of things were not going well for the team . We have changed coaches over the period and it has not helped us in any way."
He also added that the FA would need 'resetting' if the Black Stars is to get back to their glory days.
"If we really want to make giants strides, there will be the need for us do a whole lot of resetting the FA as a structure and the Black Stars as a team," he continued.
Addo will hope the fortunes are changed when the Black Stars reassemble for their next assignment in March.
