President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Albert Kwabena Dwumfour over the weekend donated some food items to over 1,000 people in some parts of Alajo in Accra.
The items worth about Ghc200,000 include rice, cooking oil, tin tomatoes, beverages and other assorted items.
The aged, children, less privileged, windows and widowers in the Alajo Pentecost Church Central Assembly benefited from the gesture.
Hundreds of residents at the Alajo Central also benefited from the gesture.
Addressing the people of the Alajo Central community, Albert Kwabena Dwumfour indicated that, he was born and raised in Alajo and has his roots in the community.
According to him, in the last 10 years, he donates lots of items to orphanange homes and some selected less privileged people.
However, he decided to focus solely on the Alajo community this time around to bless the less privileged in the Alajo community, a place that brought him up.
He urged the young people within the community to work hard and work towards perfection in life adding that perseverance and hard will push them to their desired state.
