Npontu Technologies has appointed Abraham Odoi as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Effective January 13, Mr. Odoi, who previously served in the engineering department, will oversee the company's technological initiatives in value-added services, software development, Big Data, and artificial intelligence.
During his time at Npontu, Mr. Odoi has been instrumental in developing several flagship projects, including Snwolley AI, a locally developed artificial intelligence solution, and Kedebah ERP, an enterprise resource planning system that integrates finance, project management, retail, human resources, and customer relationship management functionalities.
He has also led significant public sector initiatives, including a partnership with the World Bank to digitize Ghana's Birth and Death Registry portal.
He additionally spearheaded the development of the Ghana Knowledge and Skills Bank, an online learning platform featuring educational resources and an AI-powered tutoring system.
In his new role, Mr. Odoi will focus on expanding Npontu's technological capabilities, particularly in advanced communication tools, software systems, and AI-driven solutions.
A press release from the company said over the last eight years, Mr. Odoi has exemplified exceptional technical leadership and strategic thinking perfectly aligning with its core offerings in value-added services (VAS), software development, Big Data, and AI.
“By uniting his expertise in telecommunications, advanced software practices, and data-driven approaches, he has driven Npontu’s growth and consistently delivered high-impact results for our clients.
“Having risen organically through the ranks as an officer of the engineering department, his appointment exemplifies Npontu’s dedication to nurturing internal talent and underscores the remarkable potential of local professionals in driving our collective growth,” the release noted.
Commenting on the appointment, the Chief Executive Officer of Npontu Technologies, Dr Stephane Nwolley Jnr, said Mr. Odoi’s deep understanding of the company’s priorities and culture has been pivotal in shaping the solutions it brings to the market.
“Abraham’s strategic insight and unwavering commitment to excellence have shaped our successes and fueled our continued growth. As CTO, he will further enhance our offerings, empowering Npontu to stay ahead of the curve in delivering transformative solutions that meet and exceed our clients’ evolving needs,” he said.
Under Mr. Odoi’s leadership, he said Npontu looks forward to unlocking new frontiers in technology—combining advanced communication tools, robust software systems, and AI-driven insights to help clients thrive in today’s fast-changing digital landscape.
