Terabuuriyele, a Ghanaian non-profit social organisation dedicated to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of Gurune-speaking communities, has congratulated President John Mahama on his victory.
In a press release dated January 9, signed by its national president, Simon Apenure Ayarega, the group said Mr Mahama's achievement represents a significant milestone in Ghana’s democratic journey.
He added that the group is confident in the positive impact his leadership will bring to the nation.
“We commend your unwavering dedication to public service, which has deservedly earned you the trust and confidence of the Ghanaian people.
"Your vision for Ghana’s prosperity and development aligns closely with the values and mission of our organization” the release indicated.
It went further to say; “As a cultural organization, we are confident in your ability to fulfil your promises and leave a legacy of excellence in the high office you now hold.
"We are optimistic that your tenure will usher in an era of peace, stability, and prosperity for all Ghanaians. Please accept our heartfelt wishes for your continued health, happiness, and success”.
The organisation also commended former Vice President, and NPP flagbearer for the 2024 elections, Dr Mahamudu Bawmia for his timely concession of defeat, which they believe has played a vital role in preserving the peace and stability of the country.
“Your exemplary leadership and selflessness during this critical moment is truly admirable and worthy of high regard.
"Particularly in light of the potential for chaos or unrest during moments of political transition, your actions have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to democracy and the well-being of the people of Ghana”.
“As a cultural group, we applaud your unwavering commitment to peace and national harmony”, the press release stated.
Terabuuriyele which translates as “Remembering our ways or traditions” aims to protect fading traditions, refine existing ones, and foster a vibrant cultural identity for future generations.
