The Black Satellites players form the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup winning campaign have been invited to collect their matured investment cheques by the SAS Finance Group.
The financial institution wrote to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to notify the players following the maturity of the 15-year investment made on behalf of the team.
The investment was made on behalf of the playing body by the Ministry of Youth and Sports after successfully winning the competition which was played in Egypt.
A total of GHS 210,000 was made on behalf of the 21 players who were called up for the tournament by head Selas Tetteh with each player allocated GHS 10,000 by the MoYS in 2009.
"This investment has matured after 15 years, and the players can now collect their cheques from the SAS Office in Accra, starting from January 8, 2025", said SAS.
"To collect their cheques, players must present a valid Ghana Card for identification purposes. If a player is unable to collect their cheque personally, they can authorize a third party to do so by presenting a notarized Power of Attorney", the statement continued.
"The SAS Office is located on the 14th floor of the World Trade Centre, Independence Avenue, Accra", the Statement went on to say.
The investment package has also an annual insurance cover to cater for life and health-related expenses of each player over the period, SAS added.
The U-20 World Cup triumph in 2009 remains Ghana's only success at that level till date.
